BJP candidate Ananthan Ayyasamy, contesting from the Vasudevanallur Assembly constituency, conducted extensive campaign meetings with various sections of the public. During his campaign, he announced several key social welfare initiatives focused on public welfare.
Addressing voters, Ananthan Ayyasamy said, “In the Vasudevanallur constituency, no poor or underprivileged person should be left without support under any circumstances. My priority is implementing schemes that directly benefit people’s lives. Accordingly, a free midday meal scheme will be introduced for senior citizens above the age of 60. This will benefit elderly people living alone as well as senior citizens facing financial hardship.
In addition, free electric auto services will be provided for pregnant women and senior citizens. This facility will ensure safe and convenient transportation for visits to hospitals, government offices, and emergency needs.
To ensure that poor families are not burdened during funerals, a financial assistance of ₹5,000 for funeral expenses will be provided immediately through the MLA office. A governance system that stands with people both in times of distress and in daily life is true people-centric administration. I will create a humane and people-friendly administration in Vasudevanallur,” he said.
These announcements received a strong positive response from the public, with women, senior citizens, and families expressing enthusiasm and support. Party alliance functionaries and a large number of workers also participated in the campaign activities.
