PhonePe has crossed a major milestone of 700 million (70 crore) registered users as of April 29, 2026, highlighting its massive reach across India and its strong presence in digital payments and financial services. This achievement reflects growing consumer trust, a wide distribution network, and a continued focus on simple, secure, and reliable user experiences.
The company’s growth journey stands out for both scale and speed—taking 136 days to reach its first million users, and now adding that many in just 6 days. Between FY23 and FY25, PhonePe recorded a steady CAGR of 56.25%, showcasing consistent expansion even at a large scale, driven by its seamless and user-centric financial ecosystem.
Commenting on the milestone, Sameer Nigam, Founder and CEO of PhonePe, said that crossing 700 million users reflects strong nationwide trust and the rising importance of digital payments in daily life. He added that the company will continue building simple, secure, and accessible products while contributing to India’s growing digital economy.
