Aster DM Healthcare Unveils Top 10 Finalists for Global Nursing Award 2026

Marking International Nurses Day, Aster DM Healthcare has announced the Top 10 finalists for the fifth edition of the Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award 2026. The finalists were selected from over 134,000 registrations received from 214 countries and economies, making it one of the largest global recognitions for the nursing profession.


According to Aster DM Healthcare, this year’s edition recorded a substantial rise in participation compared to the previous year, which had received over 100,000 registrations from 199 countries. Ernst & Young LLP served as the independent process advisor for the award.


The selection process involved multiple stages, including eligibility screening, evaluation by an independent panel of experts and a final review by an international Grand Jury. The winner of the award will receive a prize of USD 250,000, while the other finalists will also receive recognition for their contributions to healthcare.


The Top 10 finalists are Dr. Agimol Pradeep (United Kingdom), Dr. Aidah Alkaissi (Sweden), Dinah Sevilla (Saudi Arabia), Dr. Hammoda Abu-Odah (Hong Kong SAR, China), Hindumbi Kourom Kakkada (India), Johana Patricia Galvan Barrios (Colombia), Josephine Nelago Angula (Namibia), Oluchi Angel Okoi (Nigeria), Peter Fore (Papua New Guinea) and Ronald Mario Cañas Rojas (Colombia).


Dr. Azad Moopen said nurses continue to remain the backbone of healthcare systems worldwide through their dedication and service.


The winner will be announced during a gala event to be held in India in July 2026.
