Students participated enthusiastically in the summer festival celebrations held at Thoranamalai Murugan Temple. Certificates were distributed to all participants.
The annual summer vacation programme is conducted at the temple every year during Sundays in May to make the school holidays meaningful for students. Accordingly, this year’s celebrations are currently underway.
In yesterday’s (Sunday) event, students from various schools actively took part and showcased their talents by reciting Thirukkural, slokas, and devotional songs. They also performed various cultural activities.
Students from a sports group in Kadayanallur demonstrated karate and yoga performances. Cultural programmes were also presented by students of Poovankulam Seva Bharathi School. Due to a light summer rain, the atmosphere remained pleasant, encouraging active participation from the students.
All participants were appreciated and awarded certificates by the temple administration. In addition, annadhanam (free meals) was provided to all devotees who attended the event.
