1,016 Petitions Received at Grievance Redressal Meeting in Coimbatore

At the Public Grievance Redressal Meeting held yesterday (June 29, 2026) at the Coimbatore District Collectorate, District Revenue Officer Mrs. S. Madhuranthaki received various petitions from members of the public and forwarded them to the concerned officials, instructing them to take prompt action on the grievances.


The meeting was attended by Social Security Scheme (Special Deputy Collector) Mrs. Vaniletsumi Jegathammal, District Backward Classes Welfare Officer Mrs. Lakshmi, Personal Assistant (Agriculture) to the District Collector Mr. Anandakumar, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Officer Mrs. Manimekalai, along with other government officials.


During the meeting, members of the public submitted petitions seeking old-age pension, patta transfer, issuance of new family ration cards, house-site pattas, and various other welfare-related requests.


A total of 1,016 petitions were received, including 792 petitions seeking free houses and house-site pattas, 10 petitions requesting employment opportunities, and 214 petitions related to other issues.


The District Revenue Officer forwarded all the petitions to the respective department officials and directed them to take appropriate action and dispose of the petitions within the stipulated time.
