During the meeting, a total of 225 petitions were received from members of the public, including persons with disabilities. The petitions covered a wide range of issues such as old-age pension, educational assistance, the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai (Women's Entitlement Scheme), employment, education loans, business loans, drinking water facilities, road infrastructure, improvement of basic amenities, free house-site pattas, individual patta transfers, electronic family ration cards, electricity connections, street lighting, encroachment-related issues, and police action.
The District Revenue Officer received the petitions and forwarded them to the respective department officials, directing them to take immediate action on the grievances.
On the same day, as part of the World Thrift Day celebrations, the District Revenue Officer, on behalf of the Small Savings Department, presented appreciation certificates, trophies, and prizes to school students who had won poetry, essay, slogan, and speech competitions, and congratulated them on their achievements.
The meeting was attended by Special Deputy Collector (Social Security Scheme) Mr. Selvaraj, District Supply Officer Mr. Ramkumar, District Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Officer Mr. Zakir Hussain, Personal Assistant (Elections) to the District Collector Mrs. Maheswari, Personal Assistant (Small Savings) Mr. Vijay Rajkumar, and officials from various government departments.
