Coimbatore District Collector Pavan Kumar G. Giriyappanavar, IAS, received petitions from members of the public during the Revenue Grievance Redressal (Jamabandhi) proceedings held at the Madukkarai Taluk Office on Friday. The Collector forwarded the petitions to the concerned officials and directed them to take swift action on the requests.
Based on various applications received from beneficiaries, immediate assistance was provided through the Department for the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities and the Revenue Department. Welfare aids distributed included a folding walking stick worth ₹1,500 to one beneficiary, a folding walking stick and black spectacles worth ₹1,750 to another beneficiary, hearing aids worth ₹7,000 to two beneficiaries, and a wheelchair worth ₹9,500 to one beneficiary.
In addition, the Revenue Department issued community certificates to four beneficiaries, a legal heir certificate to one beneficiary, and income certificates to three beneficiaries. In total, 13 beneficiaries received various welfare assistance and certificates from the District Collector.
Madukkarai Tahsildar Senthil Kumar and several government officials were present during the event.
During the Jamabandhi proceedings, the Collector received petitions from residents of revenue villages under the Madukkarai Taluk, including Eachanari, Konavaikkalpalayam, Podanur, Kurichi, and Sundarapuram.
The annual Revenue Settlement (Jamabandhi) process is conducted by the Revenue Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu to audit village-level revenue records, review administrative activities, and address public grievances through the respective taluk offices.
For the Fasli Year 1435, Jamabandhi proceedings in Coimbatore district are being conducted from June 16 to June 25, 2026, across various taluks. The sessions are being held under the supervision of senior district officials, including the District Collector, District Revenue Officer, Sub-Collector, Revenue Divisional Officers, and District Supply Officer.
Officials have urged the public to submit petitions relating to patta transfer, patta subdivision, land survey and boundary measurement, old-age pension, free house-site pattas, family cards, and other revenue-related services directly to the Jamabandhi officers at their respective taluk offices.
