Dindigul Collector Receives 461 Petitions at Public Grievance Redressal Meeting

A Public Grievance Redressal Day meeting was held yesterday at the Dindigul District Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Collector Durga Moorthy.


As per the directives of the Tamil Nadu Government, the weekly grievance redressal meeting is conducted every Monday to receive petitions from the public, investigate their concerns, and facilitate the delivery of government welfare schemes to eligible beneficiaries.


During today's meeting, a total of 461 petitions were received from the public. The District Collector forwarded the petitions to the concerned departmental officials and instructed them to take prompt action on eligible requests.


The Collector also received various petitions from persons with disabilities and reviewed their grievances. On behalf of the Department for the Welfare of the Differently-Abled, she distributed walking sticks and a hearing aid to four beneficiaries.

These platforms have been introduced to enable citizens to easily communicate their grievances and requests to the district administration.


The meeting was attended by District Revenue Officer R. Jeyabharathi, Personal Assistant (General) to the Collector Jayanthi, Social Security Scheme Sub-Collector Henry Peter, Assistant Director of Town Panchayats R. Raja, District Differently-Abled Welfare Officer C. Thangavel, and several other government officials.
