Nishanth Krishna officially assumed charge as the new District Collector of Madurai at the Madurai District Collectorate on 21 June 2026.
Prior to this appointment, he served as an Assistant Collector Trainee in Erode. He later worked as Sub-Collector in Srirangam and Hosur.
During his administrative career, he also held key positions as Managing Director of TIDEL Park, Executive Director of SIPCOT, and Executive Director of Guidance Tamil Nadu.
He subsequently served as Commissioner of Nagercoil Municipal Corporation and later as District Collector of Sivaganga.
With his appointment, Nishanth Krishna has now taken charge as the 220th District Collector of Madurai District.
