The newly renovated Dindigul Legislative Assembly Member Office, located on Trichy Road, was inaugurated on Sunday at 11 a.m. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was jointly performed by I. P. Senthilkumar, Dindigul East District DMK Secretary and MLA, and R. Sachithanantham, Member of Parliament.

The event was presided over by MLA I.P. Senthilkumar. Several DMK leaders and allied party representatives attended the function, including district office-bearers, municipal officials, and local leaders. The programme witnessed participation from party functionaries, public representatives, and prominent local personalities.

During the event, the MLA received petitions from the public and immediately initiated actions on key requests. As his first initiative after assuming office responsibilities, he approved funding from the MLA Constituency Development Fund for the construction of a new Anganwadi centre at Palakrishnapuram—an election promise made during the 2026 campaign. He also approved requests for a part-time ration shop for suburban residents.

Medical assistance requests from the public were also reviewed, and recommendation letters were issued for eligible applicants.

The inauguration event saw a large gathering of party workers who extended greetings and felicitations to the MLA by presenting shawls and books. The office opening was marked by active public participation and administrative engagement, highlighting the MLA’s focus on constituency development and welfare-oriented initiatives.
