During the event, the short story collection Athu Oru Nilaak Kaalam was formally released by Selvarasu, Editor of Annam Quarterly Magazine. The first copy was received by former Treasury Department official Seyyadhu Muhammad Sherif.
Speaking on the occasion, author Prabhavathi explained the background behind the creation of the book, the themes explored in the stories, the social experiences reflected in the narratives, and her journey as a writer. She emphasized that readers’ support remains the greatest source of encouragement for authors.
The event also featured a review session for the essay collection Kavanama Padinga Please. Retired history teacher Albert presented a detailed critique, discussing the book’s social perspective, language style, depth of thought, and impact on readers.
Debate speaker Bharathi also reviewed the work, praising its content, thought-provoking insights for contemporary society, the richness of its ideas, and the author's approach to addressing social issues.
Author Santhi Prabhu, speaking about her work, explained the purpose behind the book, the need to create awareness among readers, and the social responsibility that writers carry through their literary contributions.
