The Ministry of Ayush, through the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) and in collaboration with Habuild, has launched a major national yoga initiative as part of the celebrations for the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026.
The 2026 national yoga initiative aims to inspire citizens across the country to integrate yoga into their daily routines for enhanced physical and mental well-being. Additionally, the campaign seeks to establish a new online world record through mass public participation.
As a core component of this initiative, a free 14-day online yoga course will be conducted for all registered participants. These virtual sessions are expertly designed to help individuals improve holistic health, reduce stress, enhance flexibility, manage weight, and cultivate a healthier lifestyle. Participants can register themselves for the free course, https://moa.habit.yoga/user_f8cm6
The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Ayush, Shri Prataprao Jadhav, will also be actively participating in the initiative.
Since its inception, the global promotion of yoga under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received overwhelming worldwide support. Following his 2014 proposal at the United Nations General Assembly it was adopted with historic, unanimous consensus, the International Day of Yoga has been celebrated globally every year on June 21 since 2015.
