Nandha Engineering College Receives ₹90 Lakh Grant from AICTE

The inauguration ceremony of the state-of-the-art “AICTE IDEA Lab”, established to foster innovative thinking among students and enhance technological creations under the guidance of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, was held successfully.


The event was presided over by V. Shanmugan, Chairman of Sri Nandha Educational Trust. Dr. S. Vincent, Secretary of the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology, attended as the chief guest and inaugurated the advanced technology laboratory by cutting the ribbon.


AICTE provides financial assistance of ₹90 lakh to selected engineering colleges across India that possess well-equipped laboratories and classroom facilities. Receiving this grant is a matter of pride for Nandha Engineering College, stated V. Shanmugan in a press release.


This financial support is expected to encourage research activities among faculty members and students, promote practical learning, technological innovation, product development, and entrepreneurship skills. It will also help students overcome research challenges during their academic journey and better prepare themselves for future opportunities.


The members of Sri Nandha Educational Trust, including Bhanumathi Shanmugan, Joint Managing Trustees S. Nandakumar Pradeep and S. Thirumoorthy, along with A.K. Velusamy, Administrative Officer of Nandha Technology Campus, congratulated Principal Dr. U.S. Raghupathi, Deans Dr. C.N. Marimuthu and Dr. M. Eswaramoorthy, and the students for their efforts in securing the ₹90 lakh grant from AICTE.
