At the Gobi Travellers’ Rest House in Erode district, administrators of the Tamil Nadu Powerloom Federation met Revenue and Disaster Management Minister and Erode District-in-charge Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan to present a petition containing their demands.

The petition summarized resolutions passed during the State Executive Committee meeting held on June 5. Leaders representing associations from Erode, Sithodu, Veerappanchatram, Lakkapuram, Chennimalai, Tiruchengode, Namakkal, Salem, Edappadi, and Jalakandapuram participated in the delegation.

Minister Sengottaiyan reviewed the petition in detail and assured the representatives that their requests would be brought to the attention of the Chief Minister. He also promised to consult with other relevant ministers to ensure appropriate measures are taken to address the concerns of powerloom workers.

The federation extended its gratitude to Modakkurichi MLA Shanmugam for arranging the meeting and accompanying the delegation to present their case directly to the minister.
