Airtel Payments Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CSC e-Governance Services India Limited to expand financial inclusion and improve access to digital banking and bill payment services across India. The partnership was announced during CSC's 17th Foundation Day celebrations in Kolkata and will bring Airtel Payments Bank's services to over 5.6 lakh Common Service Centres (CSCs) operating across the country.
Under the partnership, customers visiting CSC outlets can open an Airtel Payments Bank savings account, link their accounts to receive eligible government benefits, and make utility and other bill payments. Mr. Krishna Kumar Singh, Senior Vice-President, CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, said the collaboration will strengthen access to secure and convenient banking services in rural and underserved regions, while Mr. Pranav Kaushal, Chief Sales and Distribution Officer, Airtel Payments Bank, said the partnership will help extend formal banking and digital payments to the last mile.
The collaboration combines CSC e-Governance's nationwide citizen service network with Airtel Payments Bank's digital banking capabilities to strengthen India's digital public infrastructure. It aims to simplify access to formal banking, enable seamless delivery of government benefits, and support the Government's vision of Digital India and financial inclusion by empowering millions of citizens with accessible digital financial services.
