The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Government of India, through the National Statistical Office (NSO), Madurai Regional Office, organised a workshop and awareness programme on the Annual Survey of Integrated Service Sector Enterprises (ASISSE-2026) at the MEPCO Mini Hall of the Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry on July 22, 2026.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. N. Jegatheesan, President of the Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who delivered the inaugural address.
The workshop was held under the chairmanship of P.K. Santhosh, Director of the National Statistical Office, Madurai Regional Office. During the session, Assistant Director L. Palaniyappan and officials from the Statistical Office provided participants with comprehensive training on the survey schedule, methodology, and data collection process for ASISSE-2026.
An interactive discussion followed the training session, during which the officials addressed participants' queries and clarified various aspects of the survey to ensure its effective implementation.
