CVRDE-DRDO Hands Over Three Indigenous Defence Technologies to Armed Forces

The Combat Vehicles Research & Development Establishment (CVRDE), DRDO, Chennai, formally handed over three indigenously designed and developed critical products for the Indian Armed Forces during a ceremony yesterday (18.08.2026). The technologies include the Co-Axial Lube Oil Filter Assembly of KDE, the Mainshaft Bearing for STFE and Indigenous Filter Elements for MiG 29K/KUB Aircraft. The ceremony was held in the presence of Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) Prateek Kishore, Distinguished Scientist & Director General (ACE). Shri J. Rajesh Kumar, Outstanding Scientist & Director, CVRDE, handed over the technologies to Dr. S. V. Ramana Murty, Director, GTRE, and senior Naval HQ officials.


Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) Prateek Kishore emphasized that India possesses the capability to build world-class defence equipment and called for realizing critical technologies within set timelines by engaging all stakeholders. The achievement was realized through close collaboration between CVRDE, GTRE, CEMILAC, DGAQA, and industry partners including M/s Mikroflo Filters, Hyderabad, M/s Amado Tools.Bangalore, and M/s Austin Engineering Company Ltd. Gujarat. Senior officers from DRDO, Naval HQ, and industry representatives attended the landmark event.
