Flipkart has highlighted its growing presence in Tamil Nadu, strengthening its digital commerce, technology infrastructure and market access across the state. Nearly 70,000 sellers from Tamil Nadu are using the platform to reach customers across India, with dedicated seller growth teams supporting businesses in Tiruppur, Erode, Salem and Chennai. The company’s ecosystem supports more than 1.3 lakh direct and indirect jobs, while its supply-chain footprint has expanded to over 25 lakh sq. ft.

Tamil Nadu is also an important technology hub for Flipkart Group, with its Chennai data centre supporting critical operations. Flipkart Minutes has expanded to more than 90 micro-fulfilment centres across the state, while over 1,000 electric two-wheelers are part of its delivery fleet. Through initiatives such as Samarth and Samarth Krishi, Flipkart is helping MSMEs, artisans, women entrepreneurs, startups, FPOs and farmers gain access to wider markets.

Commenting on the development, Kalyan Krishnamurthy, Chief Executive Officer, Flipkart Group, said, “Tamil Nadu is an important part of Flipkart’s long-term growth story. The state brings together a strong manufacturing ecosystem, deep technology talent and a growing digital economy. Our work with sellers and MSMEs, technology infrastructure in Chennai and expanding supply-chain network are helping connect Tamil Nadu’s businesses and communities with customers across India.”
