The 15th Graduation Ceremony of Nandha College of Technology (Autonomous), affiliated with Anna University, was held with great enthusiasm.
The ceremony was presided over by V. Shanmugan, Chairman of the Sri Nandha Educational Trust, who welcomed the chief guest, Sasikanth Jayaraman, Chief Human Resources Officer of MulticoreWare, Chennai, and introduced him to the graduating students.
In his address, Shanmugan said that more than 120 leading companies had visited the institution for campus recruitment, providing employment opportunities to students. He noted that several students had secured multiple job offers from the same company, bringing laurels to the institution. He congratulated the graduates and wished them and their parents good health and success in life.
Principal S. Nandagopal presented the annual report, highlighting the academic achievements of the institution during the current academic year and acknowledging the contributions of department heads, faculty members, assistant professors and students.
Chief guest Sasikanth Jayaraman conferred degrees on 235 students from undergraduate and postgraduate engineering programmes, including 12 rank holders.
In his convocation address, he congratulated the graduates and quoted former President and renowned engineer Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, stating that a person's character defines his or her identity. He emphasised that discipline and a positive mindset form the foundation of strong character.
He further observed that good values, practical experience and a commitment to continuous learning are essential for both entrepreneurship and professional success. He also appreciated the sacrifices, support and hard work of parents in shaping the future of their children and conveyed his best wishes to the graduating students.
Among those present were Bhanumathi Shanmugan, member of the Sri Nandha Educational Trust; Joint Managing Trustees S. Nandakumar Pradeep and S. Thirumoorthy; and A.K. Velusamy, Administrative Officer of the Technology Campus.
The management also appreciated the department heads, professors and assistant professors for their efforts in organising the graduation ceremony successfully.
