The Rotary Club of Madurai Tamil Sangam, RI District 3000, in association with Madurai Rajaji Hospital, successfully conducted a Blood Donation Camp on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Hotel Rajadhane, KK Nagar, Madurai.
The camp commenced at 9.00 a.m. and witnessed valuable participation from members of the public and Rotary Club members. The programme aimed to encourage voluntary blood donation and support the availability of blood for patients in need.
Dr. M. G. Rajinikanth, MSCENT, Harshini Hospital, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. K. Saravanan, Managing Director, Devaki Group of Company, attended as the Guest of Honour.
Dr. M. Sintha, M.D., Professor & HOD, Department of Immuno Haematology & Blood Transfusion, Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai, was felicitated during the programme for his valuable contribution to the field.
Rtn. N. S. Prem, President; Rtn. R. Rampirasath, Secretary; Rtn. K. Kalaiarasan, Treasurer; and Rtn. N. Chithra, Blood Donation Camp Chairman, coordinated and supported the successful conduct of the camp.
Along with the organisers Charter President of Rotary Tamil Sangam Rtn.M. Balaguru and Charter Secretary Rtn.Jegan expressed their gratitude to all blood donors, guests, medical professionals, volunteers and participants for their wholehearted support in making the blood donation camp a meaningful social service initiative.
