To be held from 31 August to 2 September 2026, at SSVM World School, Coimbatore, the three-day Conclave will centre on the theme, “Flex Your Future.”
The 2026 edition will bring together conversations on mental resilience, physical strength, emotional wellbeing, nutrition, movement and discipline, recognising that being future ready goes beyond academic achievement. It is also about understanding oneself, responding to setbacks, caring for one’s wellbeing and adapting to change.
“WE WANT THEM TO EXPERIENCE THESE IDEAS”
Dr. Manimekalai Mohan, Founder & Managing Trustee, SSVM Institutions, said: “Education today cannot be limited to preparing children for examinations or careers. We have to prepare them for life, with the resilience to handle setbacks, the confidence to adapt, and the awareness to care for both mind and body. ‘Flex Your Future’ comes from this belief. We want our students to understand that strength is not about never bending. It is about having the ability to adapt, recover and keep moving forward. Through the Transforming India Conclave, we want young people to experience these ideas through real conversations, people and experiences that can stay with them long after the event.”
WHEN EXTRAORDINARY JOURNEYS MEET YOUNG MINDS
The Conclave will bring together voices from very different worlds, united by one idea: there is more than one way to become strong.
Air Commodore Prashanth Balakrishnan Nair, Indian astronaut, will take students From Earth to the Stars: The Journey Beyond, offering insights into the discipline, preparation and determination behind an extraordinary journey.
Olympic Gold Medallist Abhinav Bindra will explore What It Takes to Be World-Class, while Ruturaj Gaikwad, Indian cricketer and Captain, Chennai Super Kings, will bring the perspective of elite sport, leadership and performance.
Through Movement Meets Meaning, Bharatanatyam dancer and choreographer Rukmini Vijayakumar will explore movement as a form of expression. Gastroenterologist Dr. Pal Manickam will turn attention inward with Gut Feeling: What Your Body Is Trying to Tell You, while Sarvesh Shashi, Former Wellness Entrepreneur and Founder of ABC Studios, will examine The Business of Wellbeing.
Bridging traditional physical discipline with contemporary thinking, Gurukkal S. Mahesh, a fifth-generation Kalaripayattu master, will explore Ancient Strength, Modern Mindset: What It Means to Be a Warrior Today.
The theme will extend beyond the stage through immersive experiences including The Warrior Within, The Power of Pilates, The Art of Movement and The Mudgar Method, alongside The Flex Your Future Anthem and The Rhythm of Fitness.
The Conclave will also recognise young innovators and educators through the Studentpreneur Awards 2026 and Inspirational Guru Awards 2026, celebrating initiative, creativity and those who shape young minds.
FIVE EDITIONS, ONE CONTINUING CONVERSATION
Over four editions, the SSVM Transforming India Conclave has established itself as a platform that brings students face-to-face with people who have transformed their fields and challenged conventional ideas of success.
Previous editions have featured personalities including author Chetan Bhagat, actor and motivational speaker Ashish Vidyarthi, entrepreneur Aman Gupta, historian Manu S. Pillai, astronaut Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma (Retd.), filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, food curator and author Rakesh Raghunathan and entrepreneur and author Ankur Warikoo, among others.
The platform has also exposed students to perspectives from technology, public service, administration, culture and nation-building, reinforcing its belief that some of the most valuable lessons can come from experiences beyond textbooks.
The fifth edition builds on this legacy while turning the conversation towards something deeply personal: the inner strength young people need to navigate an unpredictable world.
ONE WOMAN’S VISION, 29 YEARS OF EDUCATION
The story of the Conclave is closely intertwined with the journey of Dr. Manimekalai Mohan.
When SSVM began in 1998 with 25 students in a rented building, it marked the beginning of one woman’s vision for an education that could give children more than academic knowledge. Today, that vision encompasses an educational network of 20 campuses across the Coimbatore region, with a presence in Coimbatore, Mettupalayam, Sirumugai, Thiruppur, Theethipalayam, and Nambiyur.
Over nearly three decades, that philosophy has continued to evolve with the changing needs of young people. SSVM’s approach brings together academics, experiential learning, sports, innovation, leadership and opportunities that encourage students to question, explore and discover their strengths.
For Dr. Manimekalai Mohan, the larger question has always been what education should help a child become.
That question now sits at the heart of the Transforming India Conclave 2026.
As SSVM enters its 29th year, the fifth edition is not simply about bringing accomplished people to one platform. It is about giving young people the chance to see different versions of courage, discipline, resilience and possibility, and perhaps recognise something of their own future in those stories.
Because the future cannot always be predicted.
But perhaps we can teach children to flex with it.
