Anjugam Bhupathi, Mayor of Thanjavur Corporation, who was the chief guest at yesterday, the second day of the Central Government’s Welfare Schemes and Beneficiary Registration Camp in Thanjavur, delivered a special address and appealed to the public and college students who attended the event to learn about the various government schemes that are necessary for our daily lives and not only use them but also help others by sharing them.
Puducherry Field Publicity Officer Sakthivel, who delivered the keynote address at the event, highlighted the services available at the venue set up at the Stalls such as Aadhaar Correction, Public Service Centre, Agriculture, Nutrition, Social Welfare, Rural Employment Training Centre, etc., and said that job-seeking youth should register on the National Career Service website and benefit from them. Addressing the audience, Child Development Programme Officer Philomena Chandini said that nutrition provided in the first thousand days is the foundation for a child's lifelong health and cognitive development, and also highlighted the various food habits that should be consumed to live a healthy life. A pledge on nutrition was also taken.
Bhuvaneswari, Legal Probation Officer of the District Child Protection Office, who participated in the event and explained the 181 services for women and 1098 services for children. On the occasion of the event, a Elocution competition was organized for college students and the winners were given prizes and certificates. Earlier, Ravindran, Technical Assistant of Thanjavur Central Bureau of Communication welcomed the gathering.
