Kuehne+Nagel has inaugurated a new Tech Centre in Chennai, strengthening its global engineering network and expanding its capabilities to develop and scale proprietary digital logistics solutions. The centre will leverage India’s strong engineering and digital talent pool to support the company’s technology strategy.

By early 2027, around 250 experts in Chennai are expected to contribute to global digital products, including SALOG, Kuehne+Nagel’s core digital forwarding platform for managing sea and air freight shipments worldwide. The company is working with Accenture to accelerate the centre’s workforce development and operations.

Marcus Claesson, Chief Information Officer, Kuehne+Nagel, said, “Technology and digital capabilities have become a key differentiator in logistics. Developing our core platforms in-house allows us to innovate faster, scale globally, and continuously improve the customer experience. The new Chennai Tech Centre strengthens our engineering capabilities and supports the next generation of digital logistics solutions.”
