Coimbatore-based Chandrans Yuva Foundation launched 'Chandrans Yuva Foundation's Well-being Vasi' - a free Primary & Specialty Quality Care clinic at Eachanari Pirivu near Podanur, Chettipalayam Road.
Dr.Asha Rao, MD, Rao Hospital inaugurated the facility in the presence of Dr.Palanisamy, Sivanesan, Founder, Shasikala Sathyamoorthy, Co-Founder & Chairperson, Chandrans Yuva Foundation,Dr. Raja shanmuga krishnan, Dr. Dhilip, and several other guests.
Talking about this free clinic, Sasikala said that this is a free healthcare initiative from the foundation to provide first-class primary health service to the people living in rural and underprivileged sections of our society.
The Free Clinic can benefit people of all age groups. It has separate rooms for consultation and examination along with a dedicated pharmacy. A well-qualified doctor will be present at the center between 10 a.m. and 1 a.m. throughout the week to provide consultation.
Shasikala said that if it is found that a patient needs higher level of medical care, he/she will be referred to GH for general health matters, Rao Hospital for women-specific medical attention, Ganga Hospital for ortho related attention, etc.
She added that the foundation is in plans to set up similar centers at various parts of Coimbatore, where primary medical care is absent.
