TNAU Students Gain Industrial Exposure at Aquasub Engineering

The Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute (AEC&RI), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, organised an industrial visit to Aquasub Engineering, Aqua Group, Coimbatore for 56 students of B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering program. The visit was conducted under the guidance of Dr. P. Rajkumar, Dean, AEC&RI, aimed to provide students with practical exposure to modern manufacturing and its applications in agriculture.


The programme was coordinated by Mr. V. A. Sureshkumar, Senior Manager – Marketing, Aquasub Engineering, who introduced the students to the company, its operations and product portfolio. During the visit, students gained insights into smart manufacturing, automation, robotics, Industry 4.0, energy-efficient pumping solutions, VSD and smart control systems and pump selection based on flow and head. They were also exposed to pump testing, energy-efficiency requirements, BEE standards and energy labelling.


The students received technical guidance from Mr. U. V. Ravi, General Manager – ASE Unit 4, and Mr. T. Thirumeny, General Manager – API & ASE Unit 2. The exposure programme was supported by Mr. Ramprasad (Training & Service), Mr. Jagadesh and Mr. Krishna Prasad (ASE Unit 4), Mr. Nandakumar (Safety & Electrical Maintenance), and Mr. Nataraj and Mr. Sahul (Design Department) of M/s Aquasub Engineering. 


Dr.R.Mahendiran, Prof.(Bioenergy) and Dr.R.Divya Bharathi (TA, REE), who accompanied the students, also facilitated interactions with the industry professionals. The visit helped students connect classroom learning with real-world industrial practices, particularly in energy efficiency, automation and advanced manufacturing.
