Financial assistance for special research projects in Annamalai University

The Annamalai University has received a grant of Rs 50 crores through the Rashtriya UchadharSiksha Abhiyan (RUSA 2.0), which is under the Ministry of Higher Education, Government of India and the Department of Higher Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. 

Under this scheme, nine special research projects (Theme based projects) have been sanctioned to the tune of Rs 10 lakhs for each project. Honorable Vice-Chancellor RM. Kathiresan, D.Sc. issued the sanction order, the Registrar of Annamalai University Dr. R. Singaravel and Dr. S. Murugan, Director, Directorate of Research and Development (DRD)acts as coordinator of these special research projects attended the function. Through these special research programs, students studying in various Departments have the opportunity to get professional skills training and knowledge development.  During this function, RUSA funded adjunct faculty members were also given Office Memorandum.
