Mother Teresa Women's University, Madurai campus celebrated Teachers Day on 5th September 2023. Director Prof. Dr.M. Pushpa Rani, Inaugurated the celebration by lighting the kuthuvilakku along with the faculty members of the University. Dr. P. B. Beulahbel Bency, Assistant Professor of Education welcomed the gathering.
Prof. Dr. M. Pushpa Rani, the Director and addressed the gathering. In her address, she expressed that, teachers are the candles who keep on burning to ignite the students mind to removes the darkness of ignorance from their lives. Teachers are second parents who mould, shape and carve students in making them as good human beings with virtue of knowledge. Student performed many activities like speech, skit, song and dance celebrating teachers.
Students also conducted games for teachers and made the day memorable. Dr. S. Geethanjali, Asst. Prof of Home science proposed vote of Thanks. The program ended pleasantly with National anthem.
