Tiruvedakam, Vivekananda College Students created World Record in Yoga Practice

02.09.2023 CHOLAN BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS (MSME & UNCSC RECOGNIZED) conducted by Kalam Traditional Arts Institute on Saturday “Ekapatha Seerasanam” Many yoga students balance their bodies for 10 minutes continuously and attempt to achieve Cholan World Record Intramural Sports of Fatima College, Madurai Held in the arena. 151 male and female students from Tamil Nadu participated in this initiative. 

In this, Tiruvedakam, Vivekananda College final year history student J. Jaya Seelan, final year economics student A. Ajay Ganesh, final year commerce computer application department student S. Kamlesh, final year chemistry student S. Deepak, Second Year Economics Student S. Surya, Second Year Economics Student M. Vijay Kumar, Second Year History Student V. Muneeswaran, Second Year Computer Science Student P. Nagaraj, Second Year Chemistry Student V. Surender, first year student of Botany Department M. Yuvan Selvan, first year student of Chemistry Department P. Gokula Pandyan, first year student of Mathematics Department RS.RamPrasad, and first year student of Mathematics Department M. RaghuRam, participated in the world record created. 

First year student of Mathematics Department of Vivekananda College RS.RamPrasad stood in a particular yoga posture for one hour and 42 minutes in this attempt and won the second place. He also brought honour to the Vivekananda College by receiving Rs.3000 as a prize. Vivekananda College Secretary Swami Vedananda, College Gulapathi Swami Adhyatmananda and College Principal Dr.T.Venkatesan felicitated the students for their achievements.
