Tamil Nadu Agricultural University’s Centre for Agricultural and Rural Development Studies (CARDS), in association with the Indian Society of Agricultural Marketing (ISAM), Hyderabad is organizing 37th National Conference on Agricultural Marketing during 14-16 September 2023 at CARDS, TNAU, Coimbatore.
About 200 participants from different segments of the research community viz., researchers from SAUs, ICAR institutes, students, scholars, and retired scientists are expected to participate in the Conference. The three days Conference will include keynote paper presentations, concurrent sessions and plenary presentations by eminent scholars.
This conference aims to provide a platform to address and deliberate on various issues and concerns in the field of agricultural marketing, more specifically, price support operations for agricultural produce in different states, credit–market linkages in agriculture and functioning and performance of Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs). An exclusive session on Farmer Producer Organisations in Tamil Nadu: Performance, Challenges, and Opportunities is part of the conference. This would help to identify the key issues and challenges, success stories and needed policy interventions.
Prof. Ramesh Chand, Member of NITI Aayog, Government of India, New Delhi has kindly consented to participate as a Chief Guest during the Inaugural Function on 14.09.2023.
Dr. Vijay Paul Sharma, Chairman, Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP), Government of India, New Delhi is the Conference President and delivers the Conference Presidential Address during the inaugural session. Mr.C.Samayamoorthy, IAS, Agricultural Production Commissioner & Secretary, Government of Tamil Nadu will be delivering the special address.
Prof. V. Geethalakshmi, Vice Chancellor, TNAU presides over the function and delivers Presidential Address.
