IMA state level meet begins in Erode

Erode City Hospital Managing Director Dr. Abul Hasan assumed as the new president of the Tamil Nadu branch of the IMA in the 78th meet of TN IMA. 

Talking to the press in Erode in this regard,  Dr. Abul Hasan said that the IMA is going to introduce public welfare programs for the year 2024. It will provide training to 2500 young doctors and doctors of 160 branches of IMA in the state in artificial respiration and basic life support. They in turn will train eight crore people living in Tamil Nadu. 

If the heart stops during accidents and emergencies, the training help people to save others in crisis and save them without drugs during the golden period.  The doctors will go door to door to train people under the Jeevan scheme. 

A  suicide prevention center will be activated and counseling will be provided to those who are in depression and trying to commit suicide through mental health line scheme by calling on 9843225300. Through this, the mentally ill will recover very soon and get rid of suicidal thoughts. 

The IMA will provide due assistance in the affected areas of heavy rains in Chennai. camps are going to be conducted and for this purpose 40 branches of IMA in Chennai will be integrated and 3000 doctors will be engaged in the work. 

They will plan to to prevent spreading of infectious diseases in rain-affected areas in collaboration with the government. Indian Medical Association will open a training center in Chennai to help medical students and practicing doctors learn about high-tech and emerging medical technology such as artificial intelligence, he added.
