A total 8 Alumni receive Distinguished Alumni Award as part of Global Alumni Meet – (GAM) 2023 celebrated at Kumaraguru Institutions. The event also marked the launch of Kumaraguru Business Directory–an initiative intending to encourage meaningful networking and collaborative support among the alumni community. Kumaraguru Global Alumni Meet 2023 turned out to be a celebration of shared history and a testament to the incredible legacy of this institution.

It is very important to have a platform for Alumni business development, for ideas to be shared, for funding to happen, and mostly for learning to happen. With this idea, Kumaraguru Business Network was launch yesterday.
It will be a directory of Kumaraguru alumni businesses, which will be brought out every year and constantly updated by adding more alumni. This will help alumni to network and look for more possibilities to know the business requirements of each other and collaborate.
For any institution, a campus cannot be the biggest brand, the brand for an institution is the alumni.This alumni meet is special as we are celebrating 40 years of Kumaraguru.Over 70 percent of the admission in KCT happens through reference and thousands of alumni who is a neighbour, brother, father, who is a recruiter, isrecommending Kumaraguru, asking students to go to Kumaraguru.There are alumni as leaders who recommend us, who refer to us, advise us, and sometimes even tell us what to do.
Kumaraguru is among a very few institutions which has A++ rating by NAAC. It was recently awarded as one of the top five innovative institutions and it has a green campus rating.What is very important for us is how our young men and women will get supported, will get inspired to do more.
Many of the alumni have been successful and we are very proud of their growth.Our challenge is to make sure the next generation also comes here.And they think of us as a viable place, a credible place, an exciting place to be for which we must do very, very interesting things.
We are very soon going to have a department or School for Sport Sciences.One of the other things we want to do is to work on climate change, a school for climate change.

The college taught me that “Character is life”which is the motto of Kumaraguru. The college has given everything to meand made me a social worker. Today I am here seeking all you to give back to the society as the society has given everything to us.
Giving example of his social work, he said he could impact the lives of over 20000 women by helping them come out of towards helping rural women from clutches of Usury interest. His efforts have also made Coimbatore district leading in terms of availing education loan by college students.
He asked to limit their expectations towards government and work towards the betterment of the society. He also suggested to start Kumaraguru social services trust and further their initiatives towards social work.

His strategic leadership has led to diversified mining operations not only in India but on a global scale in Indonesia, Africa and Australia.
Mr. Karthikeyan’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable business practices further underscores his dedication to making a positive impact on society. Mr Karthikeyan credited his strong team for succeeding in his profession and he underscored the fact that many of his team members are alumni of KCT.
He has created a micro-Kumaraguru ecosystem at Triveni Group by employing close to 40 KCTians in various capacities.Speaking at the event, He said Kumaraguru has changed is life and the foundation has changed his life.
Colonel K Prem Anand,Administrative Commandant, Indian Army received the award for excellence in Government Services:
Col. Prem Anand showcases exceptional resilience and a profound sense of duty towards safeguarding our nation. He served at CVRDE which is one of the laboratories of DRDO involved in the design, development of various Combat Vehicles and is the winner of several service awards and decorations.
The safety, welfare and honour of the country always comes first. Service before self. A person who beliefs in the motto “service before self”, who else can teach us character is life.Saying that the Armed Forcesis all the game of technologythese days and it offers a lot of opportunity. He asked students to chase their passion and balance between study and physical activity to remain fit.
