Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Trichy is thrilled to host the 2nd Annual Cardiac conference "Cardiac Connect 2024" - Arrhythmia Odyssey!


The event commemorates the successful completion of 100 electrophysiology (EP) cases and also the launch of the state of the art EP lab featuring 3D mapping system - Carto 7. The latest mapping technology is a first of its kind in Trichy and South Tamil Nadu.

Over the last year, our EP division has successfully completed 100+ radio frequency ablation procedures. This achievement underscores our dedication to provide quality cardiac care.

Chief Cardiothoracic Surgeon Dr. Srikanth Bhumana and CTVS Thoracic & Aortic surgeon n Dr. Aravind  emphasized that advances in surgical techniques have now enabled shorter ICU stays, quicker discharges, smaller surgical scars, and less pain.  


Eelectrophysiologist Dr. Vijay Shekar, explained that these treatments can range from the implantation of a simple pacemaker or an ICD to complex 3D mapping with radiofrequency ablation of cardiac nerves, providing comprehensive care for patients with arrhythmias. The cutting edge technology will enhance our ability to deliver advanced treatment options to our patients suffering from arrhythmias (irregular heart rate). Many critically ill patients requiring emergency surgeries, who cannot withstand long travel, have benefited from complex cardiac surgeries being performed in Trichy. This state-of-the-art 3D mapping technology allows for precise visualization of the heart's electrical activity in real-time, enabling more accurate diagnosis and targeted treatment.
