Exhibition on Partition Horrors at Madurai Junction Railway Station

Freedom fighter Shri R. Paramasivam inaugurated the exhibition on Partition Horrors at Madurai Junction Railway Station on the occasion of Partition horrors remembrance day on 14.08.2024. The Exhibition is being organized at the main concourse of the station.

  

The Exhibition will be open for public viewing  for the whole day on  14.08.2024 and and up to 12.00 hrs. on 15.08.2024.


The Partition Horrors Remembrance Day has been envisaged to bring to light the agony, sufferings, and pain of millions of people who were sufferers of pain. It is to remind the country about the largest displacement of human population in the last century, which also claimed the lives of a large number of people. The Hon'ble Prime Minister, in his speech on 15th August 2021 at Red Fort, declared 14th August to be observed as "Partition Horrors Remembrance Day. 


During the inauguration of the exhibition at Madurai Junction Divisional Railway Manager Madurai,Shri Sharad Srivastava, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Shri L.N Rao, Chief Project Manager Gathi Sakthi, Shri K.Hari Kumar and Divisional Personnel Officer Shri T. Sankaran, Branch Officers, Officers, Supervisors ,Staff , Students of Railway Schools, Passengers and Public were present.
