Ananthan Ayyasamy, founder of the Voice of Tenkasi Foundation, appreciated the students and gifted them sports shoes as a token of encouragement.

Fifteen students from the Padma Shri Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar School for the Intellectually Challenged, run by the Mahatma Gandhi Seva Sangh in Tenkasi district's Vasudevanallur, participated in last month’s Chief Minister’s Cup sports competitions. In the shot put event, seven students—M. Suresh, R. Kalidas, M. Sivagurunathan, P. Vijayan, P. Madhan Babu, M. Vignesh, and T. Ayyakani—achieved first place at the district level. These students are now set to compete in the state-level competition in Chennai on the 21st and 22nd of this month.

In recognition of their accomplishment, Ananthan Ayyasamy visited the students on behalf of the Voice of Tenkasi Foundation, commending them for their efforts. He encouraged them to participate in the upcoming state competition in Chennai and wished them success. Additionally, he provided the students with sports shoes, socks, and other essential gear. The students expressed their gratitude to Ananthan Ayyasamy and the Voice of Tenkasi Foundation for the support.

The event was attended by school trustee K. Thavamani, Headmaster T. Sankara Subramanian, retired Tamil teacher Pulavar Ganesan, Shanti Helen, herbalist Evangelin, assistant teachers Poomari, and Kavitha, along with other students and staff. The foundation’s manager Karunya Gunavathi, along with Ramar and Karpagaraj, organized the event.
