ALLEN Career Institute Pvt. Ltd. celebrated its 4th annual SOPAN event at the Anna Centenary Library, honoring students from Chennai for their exceptional performance in competitive examinations such as IIT JEE, NEET (UG), and Olympiads. The event witnessed the participation of over 6,500 students and parents, with distinguished guests from various fields felicitating the achievers.
Shri K. Shankar, Commissioner of Police, Avadi, and an alumnus of IIT Madras, presided over the morning session and congratulated students who secured admissions in IITs, NITs, and Olympiads. He remarked, "It gives me immense pride to see the talent of Chennai entering premier institutions of excellence."
The evening session was led by Padmashri Dr. V. Mohan, Chairman of Mohan Diabetes Specialities Centre, who expressed his admiration for the commitment of the students and ALLEN’s mentorship. "These budding talents will shape the future of our nation," he said.
Among the top performers celebrated were S. Shailaja, who secured All India Rank 38 in NEET (UG) 2024 and is currently studying at JIPMER, and Parnati Jayakumar and Srijit Sivakumar, who are now pursuing their studies at AIIMS Raipur. Srijit was also recognized as Tamil Nadu’s only silver medalist at the International Biology Olympiad. Additionally, V. Kaviyavarshini, who became the first girl from Tamil Nadu to qualify for AFMC Pune, was honored for her achievement.
The event saw 1,000 students being felicitated with medals and mementos, while 18 top achievers received cash awards for their outstanding results in IIT JEE and NEET (UG). Dignitaries such as Shri Mithilesh Kumar, Assistant IG of CISF South Sector, Colonel Tapan Singh of OTA Chennai, Shri S.V. Kiran of Apollo Health Resources Limited, and Group Captain Sanjay Desai of IAF Tambaram praised the students for their dedication and hard work.
ALLEN also announced its plans to expand its presence in Tamil Nadu by opening centers in Trichy, Tanjore, Erode, and Tirunelveli by 2026. This year, 10,600 students enrolled at ALLEN Chennai, supported by the trust of over 21,000 parents.
The event concluded with Shri Mahesh Yadav, Vice President of ALLEN South Centers, and Shri Santosh Singh, Head of ALLEN Tamil Nadu Centers, expressing pride in the students' accomplishments and reaffirming the institute’s commitment to nurturing academic excellence.
