The Department of Hindi, Pondicherry University is Organising a five day Workshop for Non Hindi Speaking Hindi Neo-Writers entitled "Hinditar Bhashi Hindi Nav lekhak Shivir" in collaboration with Central Hindi Directorate, Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education, New Delhi


Program Coordinator Professor Padmapriya welcomed the audience and highlighted the importance of organising a five day camp for Non- Hindi Speaking Hindi Neo-Writers. The program started with lighting of lamps and the university anthem.


The Honorable Vice Chancellor (in-charge) of Pondicherry University  Professor Tharanikkarasu Kannan delivered the presidential address in which he praised the Department of Hindi for organising the program which is very useful for the students. Felicitation address was given by Professor Clement Sagayadraj Lourdes, Professor of English , Director of Directorate of Culture and Cultural Relations and Dean, School of Humanities, Pondicherry University. In his speech he highlighted the various styles of fiction in English. 


The occasion was graced by Hindi litterateur Mr. Naresh Shandilya from Delhi, National poet Mr. Rakesh Dangi from Indore, Professor Panch Ramalingam, Professor in Psychology and Director of UGC - MMTTC, Pondicherry University, and Professor Jayasankar Babu, Head, Department of Hindi as Guests of Honour. The camp in-charge Mr. Achyut Singh introduced the Central Hindi Directorate and its activities. The inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks and the national anthem. The sessions will be conducted by experts from Delhi  and Indore as well as local experts. 


Dr. Nisha Sharma, Associate professor in Hindi from Bharathidasan College of Pondicherry, journalist Shri Vinay Thakur, Dr. J. Surendran, former Hindi officer in-charge in Pondicherry University, Dr.Anita Singh, Guest faculty of Hindi Department and Research Scholar Ms.Satyabhama will conduct sessions for budding writers in Fiction, Poetry, Feature & News, Drama Translation and Formal Official writing. Along with the 14 participants from all over the country around 30 Postgraduate Students and Research Scholars from Department of Hindi will also actively participate.
