The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Department of Computer Science, Lady Doak College , Madurai, hosted the five-days Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Salesforce Platform Developer - I , an initiative of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, jointly organized by Salesforce and ICT Academy, Tamil Nadu from 2nd to 6th December, 2024.
The inaugural session commenced with a prayer by Dr. D. Rani Rosaline, Assistant Chaplain and the welcome address was given by Dr. N. Jayachandra, Head and Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science. Setting a warm tone for the event, Dr. R. Beulah Jeyashree, Principal and Secretary of Lady Doak College, gave an insightful keynote address. Dr. S. Narmatha, one of the IQAC coordinators, introduced the FDP Trainer Mr. Srinivasan. The inaugural session ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. T. R. Sivapriya , Coordinator , B.Sc. Information Technology and Associate Professor Department of Computer Science.
The FDP trainer, Mr. Srinivasan, being The Technical Assistant, ICT Academy provided hands-on training to enhance participants' skills in Salesforce development .
Mr. Santhosh Rebello, University Programme Manager from Salesforce, also interacted with the participants virtually on the 05th focusing on the various opportunities available for students and faculty .
The FDP immensely inspired the participants to integrate cutting-edge technology into their curriculum which would equip students with the essential skills needed to meet industry demands. At the end of all the sessions, Dr.R. Jeyakodeeswari, the IQAC Coordinator, thanked all the participants for actively participating in the FDP and encouraged them to take the learning to their colleges for the benefit of the students.
