Madhya Pradesh creates history with Guinness World Record at International Gita Mahotsav

In a monumental celebration of spirituality and culture, Madhya Pradesh’s Department of Culture’s International Gita Mahotsav at Bhopal set a Guinness World Record for the “Largest Simultaneous Hindu Text Recital” on Wednesday. The event was aimed at promoting the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and showcasing Madhya Pradesh’s cultural heritage.


Commenting on the achievement, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, said, “This historic achievement reflects the cultural and spiritual strength of our people. The Bhagavad Gita is a timeless guide for humanity, and through this event, we have not only celebrated its teachings but also inspired a deeper connection to its values of unity, self-discipline and universal harmony.”


World record consultant and strategist, Nischal Barot, said, “It is a great feeling to work closely with an Indian state and set another Guinness World Record. The achievement not only showcases our cultural richness but also our organisational prowess and global aspirations. We look forward to working with Madhya Pradesh and other states to set more records.”
