Maxivision Super Specialty Eye Hospitals, one of India's leading eye care chains, proudly announces the inauguration of its state-of-the-art hospital in Kumbakonam. With this addition, Maxivision strengthens its commitment to providing advanced eye care across Tamil Nadu, following its successful launches in Madurai, Tanjore, Perambalur, Trichy, and Salem.
Mr Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, the Minister for School Education of Tamil Nadu, officially inaugurated the hospital in the presence of notable figures including, Mr. G. Anbalagan, MLA of Kumbakonam constituency; Mr. VS Sudheer, Group CEO of Maxivision; and Dr. Shibu Varkey, Regional Medical Director of Maxivision.
The new facility, built as part of the organization's vision under 'Project Velicham' in partnership with the Tamil Nadu Government, is equipped with cutting-edge technology and a team of highly experienced ophthalmologists. Spanning over 7000 square feet, the hospital offers the latest vision diagnostic equipment’s, and Super Specialty eye care surgical technologies, including advanced robotic technologies to treat cataract and refractive errors. The facility features 2 modular HEPA-filtered operation theatres, over 6 consultation rooms, and specialized clinics for conditions like Diabetic retinopathy, Cornea Clinic, (starting an Eye Bank soon), Glaucoma Clinic, Dry eye Clinic, and Paediatric Eye Care Department. Additionally, it houses a full-fledged, well stocked optical store with frames starting from 150 to 15000, and an inhouse pharmacy to serve all patients on comprehensive eye care for the community.
This facility will have 2 full time surgeons, who are well experienced in Cataract, and other specialty surgeries, and visiting surgeon, Dr. Shibu Varkey, Dr. Roche Arokiaraj, and Dr. Nalitha Mathuram operating weekly super specialty clinic services
