Rajaditya Cholan Regional Training Centre (RC RTC), Thakkolam, in Ranipet district under the aegis of the Fit India Movement and in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India, Chennai, organized a special edition of the “Sundays on Cycle” programme to commemorate World Bicycle Day.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 150 CISF personnel and trainees, along with 75 personnel from 04 Battalion, NDRF, Arakkonam.
The bicycle rally was flagged off from the RTC campus and led by Shri Nilesh Kumar, Sr Commandant/Vice Principal, RC RTC Thakkolam. The rally proceeded through Thakkolam Market up to Government Boys High School, Thakkolam, with participants interacting with local residents and spreading awareness on the importance of fitness, healthy living, sportsmanship, environmental consciousness, and community participation through cycling.
The local community enthusiastically joined and supported the programme, reflecting the collective spirit of the Fit India campaign.
As part of the event, CISF and NDRF personnel also conducted a cleanliness drive at Government Boys High School, Thakkolam. Shri Surendra Babu, Headmaster, along with school staff, actively participated in the activity.
