Voice of Tenkasi Foundation and Iyanthiran Edge Pvt Ltd organized a one-day Career Guidance Program titled “Uyar Kalvi Valikaati / Powered by ZOHO “ on May 11, 2025, at SR School of Excellence, Surandai. The event witnessed participation from hundreds of students and parents across the region and brought together representatives from over 20 colleges and 15 career guidance booths to support students in navigating life after Class 12.
The program featured a structured agenda of expert-led sessions designed to cover a wide range of career paths, including engineering, software, medicine, business, government services, and emerging fields. The event was inaugurated by Ananthan Ayyasamy, Founder, Voice of Tenkasi Foundation, who delivered the keynote address and emphasized the importance of accessibility, awareness, and aspiration in higher education, especially for rural students.

Thiru Murugan, Kalasalingam University on Business & Commerce Education, Prabhu Shankar Nanjappan of Manidhanaeyam IAS Academy on Civil Services & Government Exams, Karunya Gunavathy K, CEO, Iyanthiran Edge Pvt Ltd on Unexplored Career Paths & Future Fields and Dr. P. Lakshmana Kumar, Vice Principal, S.Veerasamy Chettiar Group on Scholarships and Financial Aid after 12th.
A special Q&A panel moderated by Bismi, Founder Jamila School, brought together both students and parents to clarify doubts directly with the experts. The event concluded with a networking session that allowed students to interact with college representatives and career mentors.
“This initiative is aimed at giving rural students the direction they need to make informed academic choices,” said Gopi Valayapathy, Startup Wing Head, during the vote of thanks. “With this as a starting point, we envision similar guidance programs across other blocks in the district."
The Voice of Tenkasi Foundation continues its commitment to bridging the rural-urban opportunity divide through skill-building, access to mentorship, and ecosystem collaboration. 50+ volunteers of Voice of Tenkasi Foundation including SuMu Murugan, MuthuSelvam, Karpagaraj and Iragu Events helped organize the event successfully!
