Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, a pioneer in agricultural research and education, has entered into an important Memorandum of Agreement with Valyria Visions Private Limited, an emerging startup specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) - driven agricultural analytics. The collaboration focuses on the development of AI-based modules for trait prediction in maize crops using TNAU’s extensive phenotypic, genotypic, and environmental datasets. This initiative will promote innovation at the intersection of data science and crop science, supporting data-driven decision-making for breeders and researchers.
The MoA was signed between Dr. R. Tamizh Vendan, Acting Vice-Chancellor and Registrar, TNAU, and Mrs. Priyadharshini S, Co-Founder and Director, Sri Vishnuvardhan A, Technical Lead of M/s. Valyria Visions Pvt. Ltd on 20.06.2025. The initiative was coordinated and organized by Dr.N. Senthil, Director, Centre for Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (CPMB&B), who played a key role in facilitating the partnership.
