In the Keelapavoor Panchayat Union, under the Kalloorani Panchayat, a paver block road was laid on the “School Street” in Pavoorchatram using funds from the District Panchayat Council Member’s fund and the Kaloorani Panchayat Council fund.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Panchayat President Rajkumar, with Vice President Kumar in attendance. District Councillor Professor Socrates welcomed the gathering. The road, built in front of the school, was formally opened by students studying at that school.
Also present at the event were Makkal Nala Mandram President Gopu Aasiriyar, Ward Member Pottuthai, Trustee Board members Kalasamy, Ponnaiya Nadar, Thangapandian, the school’s Headmistress, teachers, and local residents. Panchayat Secretary Jansi delivered the vote of thanks.
Residents praised the Panchayat President for arranging for the school children to inaugurate the road.
