The Regional Passport Office, Chennai, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), successfully organized a Human Chain on 12 August 2025, at Anna Salai near Rayala Towers as part of the ongoing ‘Har Ghar Tiranga 2025’ campaign.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from the officers and staff of the Regional Passport Office, led by Shri S. Vijayakumar, Regional Passport Officer. United in a spirit of patriotism, they came together to honour the national flag. The Human Chain, symbolized collective national pride and the shared commitment of citizens towards the ideals of freedom, democracy, and unity.
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative, launched by the Government of India, continues to motivate citizens to hoist the Tricolour at their homes and workplaces, strengthening their emotional and patriotic bond with the nation and the flag. The Chennai Passport Office’s initiative contributed meaningfully to this mission by engaging staff and spreading awareness among the public through visible and heartfelt participation.
The Regional Passport Officer, Chennai Shri.S. Vijayakumar, expressed gratitude to all participants for their involvement. The event concluded with a renewed call to inspire citizens to actively take part in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Culminating in our Nation’s Independence Day celebrations on 15th August.
