The 84th foundation day of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, will be celebrated on 26 September 2025, at the CSIR Campus in Taramani, Chennai by CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre (CSIR-SERC) and CSIR Madras Complex (CMC).
As part the Foundation Day Celebrations, CSIR-SERC and CMC has conducted the Inter-school science quiz (Eureka 2025) 16th September 2025 at the Vigyan Auditorium. The EUREKA is a unique Quiz being conducted every year from 2008 for the students from X, XI and XII standards, and has gained a place in the calendar of Chennai School Quiz. The main motivation of the quiz is to inculcate the aptitude for scientific research in the young minds. Team from 23 schools participated in the quiz. The quiz was conducted by the Quiz Master, Shri V.V. Ramanan. From the preliminary round, the top six teams were selected for the Finals. Dr N. Anandavalli, Director, CSIR-SERC, distributed mementos to all the finalists and to the Quiz master. Certificates were given to all the participants.
The prize-winning schools will be awarded trophies, and the prize-winning teams will be given shields and prize money during the CSIR Foundation Day Function.
