SUEZ Team Visits Coimbatore 24x7 Water Supply Project

Senior officials from SUEZ France and SUEZ in India spent on 1st September, Monday in Coimbatore reviewing the city’s 24x7 Water Supply Project. The officials visited multiple sites, met the project team and noted both progress and on-ground safety practices.


The delegation included Ms. Silvina Somasco Mozziconacci, International CFO, Mr. Olivier Garnier, Senior Vice President, Investments; Mr. Rasmi Ranjan Ray, CEO, SUEZ in India; Mr. Sashidhar Gollapinni, Executive Director, SUEZ in India; and Mr. Sangram Pattanayak, Project Director for the Coimbatore 24x7 Water Project.


The day began with a short presentation on the project’s status. After that, the group travelled to AKS Nagar and Cheran Nagar Overhead Tanks and Tatabad Customer Facility Centre. They later inspected the newly built Master Reservoir before moving to the SCADA control centre where monitoring of the water network is carried out.


As of September 1, 2025, the project has reached a significant milestone: 90,117 Household Service Connections (HSCs) are receiving continuous 24x7 water supply, while another 23,420 HSCs are being served through intermittent supply. This brings the total commissioned HSCs to 1,13,537, underscoring the scale of work already delivered in the city.


At each site, the visitors interacted with engineers and staff. The delegation appreciated the quality of execution disciplined with the health and safety measures.

Mr. Sashidhar Gollapinni, Executive Director, Suez in India, ended the visit with appreciation to the Coimbatore team and encouragement to continue maintaining the standards achieved so far.
