The inaugural Bangalore Card Show (BCS) concluded on a high note, attracting over 800 collectors and hobby enthusiasts from across India, establishing itself as the country's first official trading card community event and a landmark celebration of the rapidly growing collectibles industry.
Held at Aadhi Sankalp Banquet Hall, Banashankari, Bengaluru, the event brought together passionate collectors of Pokémon, sports cards, trading card games (TCGs), anime cards, and other collectibles under one roof, creating an engaging platform to buy, sell, trade, network, and celebrate the hobby.
Commenting on the success of the event, Sagar S., Co-Founder, Bangalore Card Show, said:"We're delighted to have had the opportunity to create a platform where collectors could come together to buy, sell, trade, and celebrate their passion for the hobby. Bringing card show culture to India has always been one of our key goals, and we're incredibly grateful for the overwhelming response and support from the community. Seeing collectors, vendors, creators, and enthusiasts unite under one roof made this event truly special. This is just the beginning. We'll be back in November 2026—bigger, better, and with even more for the community to enjoy."
A major highlight of the event was an insightful ‘Collectibles Panel Discussion’, which explored the evolving world of collectibles with a special focus on Pokémon, One Piece, and other trading card games. Industry enthusiasts and community leaders shared their experiences as collectors, traders, and hobby builders, discussing how the hobby has evolved into a global market.
The Bangalore Card Show also hosted its Pokémon Trading Card Game Tournament, which witnessed participation from players representing different parts of India. Culminating in an exciting championship match where Devansh Koppar emerged victorious to become the inaugural Bangalore Card Show Pokémon TCG Champion 2026.
Ryan Satish, Co-Founder, Bangalore Card Show, added: “The Bangalore Card Show on the 14th of June turned out to be an eventful day for collectors all over India. The support and efforts of the entire trading card community in India led to the success of this event. Apart from vendors being present to buy, sell, and trade cards, a Pokémon Trading Card Game tournament was also conducted with 20 players from across India competing through five rounds, followed by the semi-finals and finals. The championship match was an intense contest, with Devansh Koppar taking home the winner's title. As the trading card community and TCG culture continue to grow in India, it is important that the playing aspect of the hobby grows alongside collecting. With more active players, we hope to one day see Indian representatives compete on the global stage at the Pokémon World Championships. A stronger player base could also provide the momentum needed to encourage official Pokémon distribution within the country."
The overwhelming response to the inaugural edition reflects the tremendous growth of India's collectibles community and highlights the increasing popularity of trading cards as both a hobby and an investment category.
Building on the success of its debut edition, the Bangalore Card Show is set to return in November 2026, promising an even larger celebration with more vendors, activities, tournaments, exclusive collectibles, and experiences for the growing community.
