Amid the festive season, Citroën India celebrates a major safety milestone as the Citroën AIRCROSS SUV earns a prestigious 5-star rating for Adult Occupant Protection in the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP). This achievement highlights the brand’s commitment to delivering smart, secure, and customer-focused mobility solutions tailored for Indian roads under its Citroën 2.0 – Shift Into the New strategy. The AIRCROSS combines aspirational design with advanced safety and comfort, making it a complete package for customers who value both protection and versatility.
Kumar Priyesh, Business Head & Director – Automotive Brands, Stellantis India, emphasized that the 5-star rating reflects Citroën’s philosophy of placing safety at the core while offering advanced comfort and intuitive technology. The SUV performed exceptionally across all crash test parameters, including Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), Child Occupant Protection (COP), and Safety Assist Technologies (SAT). Its safety suite includes six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring, and hill-hold assist. High-strength steel, Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS), and Ultra High Strength Steel (UHSS) ensure cabin protection during impacts.
Beyond safety, the AIRCROSS offers thoughtful comfort and convenience features, including LED projector headlamps, automatic climate control, power-folding ORVMs, soft-touch instrument panel, rear AC vents, and repositioned power window switches. It comes with two engine options: the 1.2L Gen 3 PURETECH 110 turbo and PURETECH 82 naturally aspirated engine, offering up to 110ps and 205Nm of torque, paired with 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, and 6-speed automatic transmissions. Flexible seating configurations of 5S and 5+2 cater to varying customer needs.
