The much-anticipated 17th Edition of Poultry India Expo 2025 began its journey with a grand Curtain-Raiser National Media Gathering at Hotel The Park, Parliament Street, New Delhi. The event, organized by the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (IPEMA), set the tone for South Asia’s largest poultry exhibition to be held from November 25 to 28 at HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad.

The gathering was presided over by Mr. Uday Singh Bayas, President, IPEMA–Poultry India, along with senior members Mr. Anil Dhumal, Founder President, and Mr. M. Srikanth, Treasurer. It brought together leading media professionals and industry leaders for an insightful exchange on the future of India’s poultry sector.

The event was graced by distinguished guests including Dr. Tarun Shridhar, Director General, ICFA; Dr. P. K. Shukla, President, IPSA; Mr. Ramesh Khatri, Chairman, PFI; Mr. Divya Kumar Gulati, Chairman, CLFMA; Mr. Naveen Pasuparthy, President, KPFBA; and several other prominent figures from across the poultry ecosystem. Their insights underscored the critical role of the poultry industry in ensuring food security, supporting rural livelihoods, and promoting sustainable agricultural growth.

The programme featured a press meet, an overview of the upcoming Expo, and details of the “Knowledge Day” scheduled for November 25 at Novotel, Hyderabad. The session concluded with a networking lunch fostering collaboration between policymakers, entrepreneurs, and the media.

Highlighting India’s impressive poultry achievements, IPEMA noted that the country is now the world’s second-largest egg producer and among the top four in broiler meat. The sector, growing annually at 8–10% in meat and 6–8% in eggs, plays a vital role in providing affordable protein and generating rural employment.

Building on the success of the 16th edition in 2024, which saw over 40,000 visitors and 400 exhibitors from 50 countries, this year’s expo aims even higher — with more than 500 exhibitors, 50,000 visitors, and 35,000 sq. meters of exhibition space.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Bayas said, “Your valued presence ensures success. Let’s build a stronger poultry sector together.”

Aligned with the national vision of *Viksit Bharat 2047*, the 17th Poultry India Expo 2025 aims to strengthen India’s position as a global poultry powerhouse by fostering innovation, knowledge sharing, and sustainable growth.
