IFAT India 2025, the country’s largest trade fair for water, sewage, solid waste, and recycling technologies, will take place from October 14–16 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (NESCO), Mumbai. Organised by Messe Muenchen India, the event is expected to be its biggest edition yet, bringing together global innovators, policymakers, and domestic buyers in response to mounting environmental challenges.
Spanning 45,000 sqm, the fair will host over 500 exhibitors from 30+ countries and draw an estimated 28,000+ trade visitors from 50+ nations. Country pavilions from Germany, Canada, South Korea, Australia, the Netherlands, and Hungary will mark a strong international presence.
“India is at an inflection point where waste and water solutions are central to sustainable growth,” said Bhupinder Singh, President IMEA and CEO, Messe Muenchen India.
The event will feature over 2,000 structured buyer-seller meetings, linking solution providers with municipal authorities, EPC contractors, and corporates. More than 15,000 solutions will be showcased, including waste-to-energy, recycling automation, and effluent treatment technologies.
A three-day conference will host 400+ speakers across 40+ sessions, covering ESG financing, PPP models, and industrial decarbonisation. Special pavilions will focus on Bio-Energy, Start-ups, SMEs, and International Waste Solutions.
With India generating ~160,000 tonnes of solid waste daily and treating only 28% of its sewage, IFAT India is emerging as a key platform for ESG-driven investments, technology transfer, and sustainable urban infrastructure development.
